What do I do?!
Hello!
I've just bought a repossession flat where the system has been drained for a year. I've turned the water on, but have no idea how to check if the boiler is full before I turn it on ( in the past i have just checked the pressure of the boiler / followed instructions). From what i have read this boiler works in a different way to other boilers, i think there should be a top tank(?) but can't see one, but need to take out a board which has been fitted above the boiler to see if one is there ( I can do this tomorrow). I am a complete novice, do I need to pay someone to come in and look at it? Or can someone give me advice to get it up and running by myself?! i am happy to have a go but don't want to do more harm than good!
Many thanks in advance for any help! Lots to fix with the property so being able to get this up and running quickly by myself would be ideal...
Cheers

First of all read the manual.
If you have not got one.
Download one for free at Gledhill.
Read it and check all is there.
You may be missing some (repossessed dwelling)
Then follow the book as in commissioning the unit.

Header tank
If you look at the top of the main tank you will notice 2 pipes come out of it. Follow those pipes and they should lead you to the header tank which may be a grey or black. Fill that tank until the water stays about half way. This could take some time.
Also you can request a self check pulsacoil manual via this link: Pulsacoil Repair
Hope this helps
