Pulsacoil A-class, no hot water coming through shower head/bath tap, running fine to sinks. Suspect issues with off-peak heater.
Hi,
We've had issues with our Pulsacoil A-class for past couple of weeks. Presume there's two separate issues, but I'm no expert.
First, there's no hot water coming through the shower, on the hottest setting it just drizzles some ice cold water, on the coldest setting cold water runs full steam.
Bathroom sink and kitchen sink taps are fine and hot water runs immediately.
The second issue is that we suspect that the bottom heater of our Pulsacoil A-class is broken, and we get hot water only when the on-peak switch is on.
We had to switch off the bottom element from the wall, as otherwise the on-peak boost switch button cannot be pressed.
Any help appreciated!

Get the bottom heater checked.
Check fault codes (sensor)
Also if you have hot water. From the taps and not the shower.
Shower may be faulty.

Hi, We lifted the cover off and have taken some pictures.
The photos can be seen here : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/rnfkth4jjd4zrci/fI90MOon3d .
The first photo is when the on-peak boost is active(can only be pushed when second switch on the wall is off), the second picture is taken when both switches on the wall are "on".
When I referenced the sensor codes in this guide http://www.gledhill-spares.net/documents/PulsaCoilAClass-Iss9.pdf, everything seems normal.
Yet the hot water reaches the taps only when the on-peak boost is on and there's no hot water flow from the shower at all. The boiler is making boiling noises even off peak but for some reason the hot water does not come through.
We live in London, E1. Anyone able to help?

Many thanks Mike ,yes I can help with your problem if you living in a range of 50 road miles from Fareham / Portsmouth / Southampton. Otherwise I have to charge for the extra travel . Just a shame, I was working on Sunday ( 30.3.) at SE1 near London Bridge.
