Boilermate 2000 with Nest?
Hi everyone.
Looking for a bit of advice. Is it possible to install a Nest thermostat with my Boilermate 2000?
Here is a description of my set up:
Boilermate 2000 in the bathroom, manual clock
Glowworm Micron 80FF boiler in the garage set to full output
Mechanical hard wired thermostat in lounge - even though the radiators here have thermostat valves (but not on the hallway radiator).
I'm getting annoyed at having to go upstairs to the bathroom every time I want to turn the heating on an off. The manual clock is too basic and doesn't allow different settings for different days etc. I like the idea of being able to control the heating via an app!
Could I swap the thermostat in the lounge for a Nest product and set the manual clock on the boilermate to 'always on'. I don;t know if this would cause issues or not.
Thanks in advance.
Matthew.

Re: Boilermate 2000 with Nest?
A room stat is what it says.
Should be ok.
Never have any TRV's where a room stat is located.
So yours is correct.
TRV's are only a manual back ground setting.
Make sure you have the right connections available for you new stat.

Hi Matthew
Did you manage to get your Nest up and running with the boilermate?
I'm hoping to do the same (just ordered a Nest with new energy contract), any advice you can give much appreciated.
Cheers,
Louis

I'd also be interested to hear if you had this done successfully? Looking at the Nest instructions it "seems" fairly straightforward.
