boilermate 2000

My Boilermate 2000 has suddenly started what i can only describe as pulsing, three green LED's flash and its as if the boiler is recieving the message to kick into action but then it shuts down. So it goes through the starting process but doesn't fire up. Then it starts again just like pulsing. If you turn off power to the boilermate and turn back on it sometimes re faults and other times fires up. Its linked to an Ideal Classic FF370 and the boiler seems to be running fine, fan is well oiled (wd40) and the jets are all clear. Any ideas as to what it could be and if there is a cheap DIY fix. single parent with two kids so money is not free flowing. All help gratefully received. Does the system need flushing any recommendations as to best stuff to use for a thermal store for now and future. TIA

Check fault codes on ACB
Also check F & E tank.

Hi I'll sit down with my manual tonight and work out how to get the error codes. Don't know if this is an indication but I turned my central heating pump down from three to two and in the last 1 1/2 hours it hasn't faulted once. Does it look like the CH pump needs replacing? Tia

Hi I've checked tank n ok still water in it n ball cock working ok. I've noticed when the water heats up its fine its when the heating is on it faults. I turned the pump down to two and it worked for a while but it's faulting again. How do I test for fault codes in the bm2000 pls. TIA
