Boilermate 2 - Pump continuously runs

I've been having some issues with the pump not turning off on my boilermate 2 when the store to reaches its maximum temperature.

The neon light for the thermostat goes out and so I would expect the pump to stop also.

It's causing my airing cupboard to heat up so my only option is to turn th boiler off at the mains.

Does anyone know why the pump keeps going even though the thermostat light is switched off? Thoughts / suggestions on what I could do would be most welcomed!

Check the delay timer PCB

Cheers Mike. Appreciate the quick response. When you say check the PCB do you mean replace it? What am I chdcking for exactly?

It will be the delay timer PCB.
It may be burnt.
Or items are loose.
There are 2 PCB's
Check both.
Replace both if showing signs of heat etc.
Remember they are in a hot place.

Hopefully this will switch the pump off when the green light goes out. The boiler is continuously running, it's so frustrating because my bills are going to be really high !

Yes they are ok.
And by all account better too.
Delay timer;
When the unit tells the boiler to stop.
The boiler pump then runs on to take any heat from the boiler to the unit.
Similar to pump over run in a way.

Pump drive.
That will spin the heating pump about every 48 hours.
So in the summer when not using the heating till the winter the pump will not stick.

Hi Mike. Just to let you know I've ftted the new PCB and everything works fine !!!!!! Boiler reaches temp, green light goes out and the pump stops!! I'm sure this will make a difference to my heating bills?
