Hello Martin
thank you for your reply - do you know anyone who services, maintains, repairs these beasts? Or would you recommend removing and starting again.
thanks
C

Hi where about in the country are you? If it can be fixed then replacement seems an unnecessary expense.

Regards Murray

Hello Murray
I am near Leeds - as far as I know it is fully functioning. I want to know if I need to have it serviced/maintained in any way. I have just moved into the property.

NEW OWNER OF BOILERMATE A CLASS OV Empty engineers

This company covers Leeds, I found them via a Google search so cannot personally recommend them but the owner is ex Gledhill apparently so you would think they know their stuff. Always worth asking your neighbours of course as they may be able to suggest someone. The other thing that a lot of people near me do now is ask for recommendations on Facebook. There is usually someone who can make suggestions. There is also an area on this forum where people advertise their services see below.

There are some really knowledgeable engineers on here such as Mike but I am not sure how much of the country he covers as he is over Norwich way.

See my posts and contact Midland Boiler Care, Dave worked for Gledhill for 20 years and seems to know what he is talking about.

NEW OWNER OF BOILERMATE A CLASS OV Empty Gledhill Boilermate

Post  CHRISG412 Wed Oct 24, 2018 1:01 pm

Hello Stephen and anyone else with a Gledhill Boilermate. Thank you for your recommendation.

I had a visit today from Midland Boiler Company. What can I say David was off the scale fantastic. Not only did he thoroughly check out my Boilermate, he also serviced my boiler (which had not been looked after very well - despite annual 'checks' by British Gas - and detected and repaired a leak in a gas pipe under my kitchen sink.

I was so relieved to discover that I do in fact have a good system which works well and efficiently By the time he left, everything was safe and functioning perfectly.

I cannot praise the engineer highly enough. He was thorough, professional, highly skilled, knowledgable and above all put my mind at rest about my thermal storage system.

thank you so much
