Hi I wonder if someone could give some advice on a problem I have been having with my boilermate 2000 hot water supply.
Sometimes when the tap is turned on anywhere in the house we get hot water, but more often than not there is no hot water. We cure this by turning the mains switch in the airing cupboard off and on again in quick succession or if in the kitchen the mains fuse box heating fuse off and on to solve the problem. When we do this we get instant hot water for the duration of the use at the time, albeit very hot, hot water.
The heating is working perfectly. We could carry on like this, just flipping the mains switch each time we need hot water but if would definitely be better if we could solve the problem. The boilermate 2000 is now about 20 years old. Regards Baz.

Baz, this is very likely to be a failed DHW sensor. A new sensor usually fixes this.
