I've refilled it now...
Hi
Last night i discovered I had no hot water and this morning placed a call out to my domestic emergency service. However, while still waiting for the engineer to make an appointment, I talked to the security in our building and they reminded me about the tank on top - which having read your site I have now refilled with water up to the waterline. How long do I have to wait before it will start working again do you think? I dont know whether to call off the engineer or not (as i may have fixed it...)
Thanks!

Hi ar233,
(A bit academic now as your post is a week old!)
If you turn ON the daytime boost heater you'll get hot water in about an hour. If you just wait, then it will be after the next Off Peak heating period.
Cheers, Mike
