Tank on top of boiler - no water! Empty Tank on top of boiler - no water!

Post  alicherry Mon Oct 12, 2009 2:44 pm

Hi all,

Have just recently moved into new flat fitted with a Pulsacoil 2000. Not had proper hot water for about two weeks and have been trying to troubleshoot on the net.

Having read the posts I looked at the tank on top of my boiler (it is fitted with a floating ballcock) and found it is completely bone dry. Can I just check - is it ok to fill this up with water?!?!

I am obviously not a boiler expert...

Following this there seems to be a problem with the green light not being on and constant hot/cold/hot/cold water but I just wanted to try this first.

Any suggestions appreciated
thanks!
Ali

Hi AliCherry,

Top the tank up and see how you go. Blonde12, I would recommend you have someone to check your system out in case the thermostat, element or supply are faulty. You should only need to switch on the off-peak and main unit supply.
