Can anyone give some advice on flushing out a boilermate 2?

I'd like to flush out the primary circuit to ensure I have no flow restrictions to and from the boiler - any suggestions?

Drain the unit / system.
Diconnect boiler pipes at unit or boiler end and flush.
Are the drain off on the boiler flow and return?
Drain from there.
Do not power flush the unit
