Boilermate 11 Feed & expansion tank
Hi everyone
Was wondering if anyone on this forum could help me please.
I have a job to do which involves fitting a Bathroom towel radiator which is quite tall.
Unfortunately the property has a Boileremate 11 installed, whith the feed and expansion tank situated directly above the main unit.
Problem being when the towel radiator is fitted,it will be level with the water in the expansion tank (unit is in airing cupboard)
My question is, can I move the expansion tank higher to give a better head, i.e. directly above the boilermate 11 in the loft.
Or to put it an other way, can the expansion tank and the main unit be seperated.

Re: Boilermate 11 Feed & expansion tank
Hi Pat,
Yes you can. Just re-connect the cold fill and vent pipes like for like with ordinary copper tube and fittings.
