How do you refill the heating side, after fitting TRV's, also would I need to fit an auto bypass valve.

Add water to the header tank, using a hose if necessary.
You don't need a separate bypass valve but you need NOT to put a TRV on the rad in the room with the room thermostat, for obvious reasons once you think about it!
