Replacing Hot Water taps Empty Replacing Hot Water taps

I need to change my HW taps, but do not want to mess around with my Boilermate 2000 as it works well, There is no manifold, can i just switch the AC supply off so that it does not pump on the HW circuit? If the 240v AC is off then persumably the boiler would need to also be off, or is just turning the CW suppy off ok, as worried the heat exchanger would have no water in it?

Thanks
