overheat trip/leaks
My A Class Boilermate OV required resetting yesterday after it tripped with a rapid flashing led showing overheat. This was when there a was a good demand for hotwater on the system. It reset and appears fine now.
After checking round the system I have set the boiler to max as advised in the Gledhill manual and I have discovered a couple of small leaks on the system as shown in the photos:
These are on the Central heating pump and Boiler pump isolation valves. As you can see there has been corrosion caused to the Boiler pump by this. The leaks are tiny at the moment.
Is this someting I need sorting urgently and how much will I be looking at ?
Regards,
JW.

Re: overheat trip/leaks
Its your call.
Needs draining and new pump valves fitted 3 needed by your pictures.
Well done with the pictures a great help.
Take the cover off the bottom pump and see if the water got inside.
As it soon takes a pump out.
Hep 2 O pipes look good too. (grey)
And the elbow direct onto the unit.

Re: overheat trip/leaks
Thankyou Mike.
The leak has worsened since I post the pictures and has damaged the ceiling below the Boilermate. I have called in a professional who is due today who I am sure will recommend the same as you.
What is your opinion re rough cost/time to repair?
Thanks for your time,
JW.
