How to change DHW Temperature?
Hi all, I have the Systemate III installed in my flat (single manual clock, no diagnostic lights visible on the front panel).
The problem I have is the Domestic Hot Water is so hot it hurts. Taking the front panel off and using SW2 it shows me the temperature is around 64 degrees (my old house it was set to around 55).
How on earth do I change it? Can it be changed with this version of the SMIII? I do not have the instruction manual, and the one I downloaded shows a 14 LED diagnostic / control panel I do not have.
I would really appreciate some help on this!
Thanks
Grant

Re: How to change DHW Temperature?
Hi never seen one.
None in my area.
But looking at the System mate III down load from Gledhill.
Look at page 28.
Look at
12,13,14,15 and 22 all could be relevant.
But 22 the mixer valve would be my first choice.
If not speak to Gledhill tech at 60p per minute.
Which at £6.00p for 10 mins is cheaper than an engineers visit.
Post a reply when you have rectified your problem.
It may well help others.

Re: How to change DHW Temperature?
Hi Grant,
Have you tried turning the top of your mixing valve? If you have turned the mixing valve down then the mixing valve has failed and will need replacing.
Kind regards

Re: How to change DHW Temperature?
Hi Grant
There are two versions of the Systemate 3, one that has three independant control boards (main ACB, pump speed board, and 14 LED display board), and the other has simply one main control board.
It sounds as though you have the later version of the Systemate 3 and have the single board. This is the same board that is used in the Systemate 2000 / Boilermate 2000 range that followed on from the 3 range, and as such, the hot water temperature is controlled via the DHW sensor and the PHE sensor together with the main board.
Excessive temperature of the hot water is usually down to either a scaled/faulty sensor that is not reading correctly, or a failure of the processor on the main board.
Whichever of the two problems you have, I would recommend that you have a Gledhill specialist look at it.
