We have a Boilermate 2000 in our flat. Does anybody know if this will work with a Honeywell Evohome thermostat?

Also, would it work with the Honeywell ATF500DHW Hot Water Kit?

The Boilermate heating system should work fine with any kind of room thermostat including the Smart/Internet varieties as effectively you are swapping one type of room stat for another. Care has to be taken when wiring the control unit to make sure that any neutral connections do not get tangled up with the switching circuit as this can result in short circuits etc. There are other posts on here that cover wiring Smart devices such as Nest which are similar into Boilermates.

I do not think that there would be any merit in trying to introduce any additional control on the hot water system as the Boilermate is designed to provide instantaneous (ish) hot water on demand. To turn the hot water off in any way that might save energy would probably result in the Heatstore (hot water reserve) cooling down, this would then mean that there would be a delay for hot water while it warmed back up again. I cannot see how this would be of any advantage the opposite in fact.
