BOILERMATE/POTTERTON SUPRIMA 50

The Suprima 50 is awaiting a part from British Gas but my Boilermate states there is an
emergency back up system, however, when I switch over to this the light shows red
and nothing has happened so no hot water or heating? The normal boiler function light
shows green.
