Pulsacoil 2000 Boiler Repair Empty Pulsacoil 2000 Boiler Repair

Hi

Does anyone has any idea of the servicing and repair costs of Pulsacoil 2000 boiler.
I live in Ilford, Essex and have this boiler in my flat.

Few issues:
I do not have a off peak electricity supply in my flat, so the boiler runs at normal electric tarriff everytime, which increases the electricity bill. May get some timer installed which can automatically switch on the boiler 2 hrs in advance of our usual daily need.

I have been using the booster for quite sometime now as I don't get any hot water using the normal mode of operation. There might be an issue with the thermostat in the normal operation. These days, even the booster takes 3-4 hours to heat up the water. Is this normal?

Any pointers or help on how to get these sorted will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Look on this site, home page list of advertisers.
Or Google up Gledhill repairs for your area.
You need to be on E7 which is 7 hours at night half price electric.
The unit needs to be on every night to heat up.
May not be for the whole 7 hours.
It is a thermal store. Just like a battery really. Needs to be fully charged!
Switching on and off will / can cause more problems.
If you have the user book read it and you will be clearer about the unit and how to use.
Down load one from Gledhill website for free!
Bottom heater is for the E7
Top heater is the boost one, but only heats up the top third of the unit.

Pulsacoil 2000 Boiler Repair Empty The cost will depend on what a diagnostic reveals

Hi,

This is a difficult question to answer. I would recommend to save money, you bring an expert in from this forum because most engineers who do not understand this system will replace all sorts of parts until it is working.

Pulsacoil 2000 Boiler Repair Empty Don't forget to vet

Vet the company or engineers advertising as I have personally come across many that actually don't know what they are doing.
