Warning 15 / 50 pumps
Warning; Using 15/50 pumps for the DHW
I keep coming across Gledhill units.
Which have the normal every day Grundfos pump fitted.
Instead of the original.
The impellers are different.
The normal every day Grundfos pump IS NOT SUITABLE when a Plate Heat Exchanger ( PHE) is being used and where sensors are involved.

I quote the following;
Hello Mike,
Further to our telephone conversation, I can confirm that the Grundfos pump we stock is in fact different to the standard one that most merchants stock – ours modulates down to about 50 – 60 volts whereas the standard ones stop at about 150 volts.
I hope this answers your question.

PulsacoIl 111
Pump is a Grundfos 15-50X18 modulating, case can be in silver or red, three wire.
Pulsacoil 2000
Pump is Grundfos 15-50x18 case is silver, again modulating, three wire.
pulsacoil A class
Boilermate A Class OV
Pump is a Grundfos 15-50 so cil four wire modulating, in silver, four wire.
Was at Gledhill on Friday picking up a modulating pump, had to exchange the one they sent, which was a cil four wire, to a 15-50x18 they explained these pumps modulate, the cil, modulates to an even lower voltage.
Hope this little bit of information helps others.
