Replacing pipes to the Boilmate 2000
Hi,
I had a problem with circulation between my boiler and my Gledhill Boilermate 2000 that lead to a heating failure. I called out a Powerflush heating engineer who said that the pipes below the Grundfos pump were blocked with chunks from the rubber pipes. He showed me the evidence. These pipes have a metal flex weave coating.
I had a look at the Gledhill parts website and found that they don't stock spare pipes.
Do you recommend replacing these? If so, what with? Metal, presumably steel, pipes were recommended, but then someone said that this might make the heating system noisy as vibrations from the pumps would be amplified.
Thanks for your help in advance.
James

BM 2000?
Flexi pipes?
Can you post some pictures.
Gledhill do supply some flexi pipes. But I have never seen them used on a BM 2000.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply.
I've got a picture of the bottom of the boiler mate showing the pipes.

Re: Replacing pipes to the Boilmate 2000
Hi pictures were a help.
See what you mean used quite a lot of them!
I think you will find they join on to the unit.
And the other end onto copper pipes.
I would change them to copper, soldering rather than compression.
Only use / keep the compression fitting when connecting pipework to the unit.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the replies and the help.
Do you know of anyone who could replace the pipes for a reasonable price? I live in Chelmsford in Essex.
