Electramate 2000 loosing pressure
Hi Mike
Great site. When filling boiler, water is continually leaking out of discharge pipe, AAV leaking air continually when filling boiler. Checked PRV, seems ok. Any ideas would be grateful.
Thanks
John

How is the water getting INTO the discharge pipe? You need to find out if it is from the PRV or from the CA valve.
The AAV is supposed to let out air when filling the boiler. It closes when water arrives.
Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike thanks for reply.
No water getting to AAV, because its loosing it to fast. When i open the PRV water gurgles out and some spills into the tundish? so don't think it is loosing water pressure from there, can it loose pressure due to the CAvalve?
thanks again John.

Hi John,
None of this makes any sense. I think you need to get an engineer in to fix this! Where are you?
Cheers, Mike

Electramate Low pressure
Hi Mike
I have just purchased a flat with an Electramate 2000, similar problem to to this post.
I pressure it to 1 bar and the boiler runs well until next day when all pressure is lost, back to 0 !
On inspection water is constantly dripping into the tundish, and maybe coming from the CA valve (black in colour) the flat had been empty for at least a year and the system was drained before I bought it.
Could it be CA valve ? And can it be cleaned or does it need replacing ?
Thanks for any help
George
