Strange Electramate - Different from Normal?
Hi there,
Several posts after I have had a closer look at my Electramate 2000 - after reading the different posts re. consumption, I want to make sure I don't have to pay loads as I am on a very tight budget being a first time buyer - please help me!
1. I was reading the user manual, it shows there are 4 green LEDs, mine on comes with 3 LEDs (also diagram shows 4 integrated circuits but mine only has 3) ? The LEDs come on correctly - seems like the circuit is missing LED 4 "Permanently On" and the integrated circuit next to it - is this normal? How would this affect my Electramate?
2. I looked at the display and I am sure it is working (Summer / Winter "bar" display correctly and other "bars" also display correctly) with the exception of the off-peak "bar" - do you think my system has been wired incorrectly? It has 2 switches.
3. How does Electramate 2000 know when the off-peak time is? The system was switched off at the main when I moved in - do I need to reset the clock? If so, how would I be able to do that?
4. I spoke to N Power today and they informed me I have a heatwise tariff with heat unit and day unit - is this tariff suitable for the Electramate?
Thanks in advance for any response!
Many Thanks
Adam

Re: Strange Electramate - Different from Normal?
You need to get a decent electrician.
To confirm that all is correct ref off peak and off peak.
It may be that the off peak is not working due to a fault.
But I presume the unit is heating up?
So not really that hard to check whether on or off peak is doing the job.

Thanks Mike. I had a check on the electricity meter and I think it has not been wired up correctly for off-peak.
I will get a electrician to check and have it wired up correctly if wrong.
