Boilermate no heating and no hot water
Hi,
I have recently moved into a house in Hilton Derby, upon using the heating for the first time we quickly realised it was not heating the water or the Central heating. Anyway after getting a plumber round they changed the boiler pump. This seemed to have no effect even after we left it running overnight and checked the following morning. He also tried to flush the system the next day as he thinks the boilermate is not filling with water. I have checked all the pumps and they seem to be working however the (hot water pump) seems to be getting extremely hot??
I have checked the error codes and they are as follows:
fault codes lock outs
C0 - 33 all the rest are FF
Fault codes Block outs
c.0 - 33 c.1 - 29 c.3 - 29 c.4 - 29 c.5 29 all the rest are FF
Any help will be gratefully received but I could not find anything on the forums relating to this problem directly or the error codes 29 or 33.
Thanks,
Stu

Re: Boilermate no heating and no hot water
Is the unit full?
33 should be appliance selection.
29 I will have a look for.
Have you a book on the unit?
Download one from Gledhill (free)

Re: Boilermate no heating and no hot water
Hi Mike,
I am unsure how to tell if the unit is full. It sounds like water is inside and the F+E tank in the loft is full.
I understand that error 33 is for appliance selection. I have selected A.01 as it recommends in the manual all the other appliance selections cause the error light next to S2 to appear.
I have the user manual and the design, installation and service instructions and have now downloaded them as well thanks
Regards,
Stu

Re: Boilermate no heating and no hot water
Plenty of posts on here ref how to check unit full.
Put hose on un it.
And drain, see if the unit takes water from the header tank.
Also bleed all the pumps.
Check the pumps have voltage and are running.
And free running.

Re: Boilermate no heating and no hot water
Ok I will have a look for the posts on checking to see if the unit is full.
I have checked the pumps by unscrewing the front cap and no water came out. All of the pumps have voltage and are running it seems. I have a plumber coming tomorrow (for the third time) (second plumber) I will post back here with results.
Thanks again,
Stu

Re: Boilermate no heating and no hot water
I now told you how to check unit full.
If no water out of pumps
DO NOT RUN THEM DRY.

Re: Boilermate no heating and no hot water
OK so after all that turns out all the pumps are rusty/knackered. I am replacing boilermate with a with an unvented cylinder so if anything goes wrong in the future a plumber will be able to fix it.
Good luck with your boiler problems all.
