DHW Pump running
Hi,
I have had an issue with my water not staying hot for as long asusual, I have had a guy come out and change both my immersion heaters as there was signs of corrosion on both.
It hasn't however cured the issue, the unit gets upto 78C in the morning and then after 2/3 showers it is cold 32C. This wasn't the case before.
I have just noticed that the DHW pump seems to be running even when no hot water is being used, do you think this could be the issue as it is cooling all the water in the tank by running it through the heat exchanger?
Could changing my temp sensor (GT153) solve the problem?
Is there a way to see what temperature each of the sensors is reading via the display?
Any thoughts help appreciated.
Thanks
Phil

Re: DHW Pump running
Yes you can check the fault codes on the ACB.
Refer to manual.
If the pump is running all the time then it will / would lose the heat.
Remember the ACB is the brain.
The 2 sensors on the right hand side of the PC A class are ref DHW.
These tell the ACB which then tells the pump to work and to speed up or slow down.
You could try switching the power off to the unit.
Wait 5 minutes and switch on again.

Re: DHW Pump running
Hi Mike,
Thanks a lot for your response.
It seems better today I have been doing a few tests and seeing if I can get the pump to keep running, it seems a bit spurious and doesn't happen all the time.
Turning the unit on and off again seems to have fixed it but I have done that previously and it hasn't fixed the issue long term.
I am guessing changing the inlet temperature sensor to the heat exchanger is the best bet and should fix the issue provided there is no issue with the ACB?
Best Regards
Phil
