My name is David Hickey and I run Midland Boilercare Ltd. We have been working with Gledhill products for over 12 years and like Mike the Boilerman, have a wealth of knowledge and experience to help rectify your problems.
As a gas engineer by trade (time served with British Gas as well as boiler manufacturers as a Technical Engineer) I have the technical knowledge and courtesy to ensure that your unit is rectified correctly and safely with minimal fuss.
All work carried out is guaranteed, as are all parts that are used when they are required (we will not install a part until we have quantified that it is faulty, and should we make a false diagnosis - a rare thing - we will either re-install the original part or where this is not possible, we will not charge you for the new part)

we have recently benefitted from David Hickey's services and i have no hesitation in recommending him to others with problems with their Gledhill boilers. david is professional. efficient and very focussed. he quickly identified the problem and fixed it while others we called in seemed to be just guessing.

I have recently benefitted from Dave's vast knowledge........... My Gledhill Pulsacoil 2000 stopped giving hot water so I e-mailed Dave. He replied immediately, gave me his mobile number and talked my husband through the repair. 10 minutes later I was in a lovely hot bath!!! What a service........... Dave can fix boilers from miles away, he seems to know every part from memory, even down to describing the colours of the wires!!!

Highly recommended
David has just fixed my Pulsacoil iii after the heating elements stopped working. I found him and Midland Boilercare via this web site. David is extremely knowledgable and had my boiler working again in no time. He explained exactly what was wrong, what he'd need to do to repair it and how much it was likely to cost before he even started the work, so I knew exactly what to expect. He did the work quickly and left my flat cleaner than before he'd arrived! I'd definitely recommend David and I'm going to pass his details on to my neighbours who have same hot water system as me.

Great Advice and Diganosis
Desperate that my boiler wasnt working especially with the weather nowadays, David was a great help on the phone giving me great technical advise and aiding in finding out the problem! He saved me a ton of money by telling me that i could just call a local plumber out to fix my pump on the pulsacoil a class rather than getting gledhill to do it!

Boilermate 2000
David rescued us from disaster after my Boilermate 2000 broke down. He quickly responded, removed the broken unit and set up a temporary heating system which was much appreciated given the very cold tempretures! As soon as the new unit was delivered he installed our new Torrent. David is a true professional, explaining what he is doing and why, the work is of the highest standard and he and his team leave the place a they find it. Very helpful
David was extremely helpful today in helping me reset my pulsacoil, he talked me through it over the phone and I really appreciate the time he took on a Saturday to help me. It's certainly given me the confidence that he is honest and thorough. I have 3 rental properties with pulsacoil boilers and I was once ripped off by a heating engineer who took two weeks to replace a £20 sensor (takes 10 seconds) and charged me £300, he then tried to get a further £200 out of me. So be warned, stick with the guy that knows the appliance and is honest.

Living in times where people are quick to criticise I felt that i just had to mention the work we had carried out by Dave Hickey recently. He was nothing short of absolutely superb. He was knowledgeable and polite and as stated within earlier posts rescued us from a big problem. He has certainly restored faith in the ultimate customer service. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. If only his beloved Leicester Tigers were of the same high level performance. Many thanks again Dave. John Barton.

I agree with all the other comments. David was very professional and fixed what seemed like a problem that was never going to be resolved very quickly. We had no central heating for a week and after 4 engineers failed to detect the problem (they each had a different resolution, none of which worked) we thought our Christmas was going to be a cold one. After reading comments on this forum I called David as a last resort and within 24 hours our central heating was fixed. If you need a Gledhill system repairing call David, he was fantastic! The Only Professional BolierCare Engineers You Will Ever Need. Highly Recommended.
I initially found Midland BoilerCare on this forum and have to concur with all the other comments. David and his engineers were absolutely brilliant. I cannot fault their service in anyway. Professional, polite and extremely knowledgeable. I felt completely reassured that the work undertaken (recently full replacement of my old PulsaCoil III with a PulsaCoil BP) was in the best of hands. David and his colleague kept me informed on what was happening throughout the whole replacement service, and they even styled the final fitting to allow for more storage space within my boiler cupboard. Sockets etc were also relocated so everything was neat, tidy and accessible. I was very impressed with their outstanding service and quick response. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Professionalism like this and to such high standards is very rare these days. Thank you again David and thank you to your team.

Very friendly and very knowledgeable about our Boilermate 2.
However we got seriously messed about when it came to the appointment.
We had got no hot water and the fault was diagnosed over the phone as a faulty mixer valve. After being told they could fit us in as last job on the Wednesday (phoned on Monday) which was no good due to work commitments as I explained I worked lates and asked for their first AM appointment, which was the following day (Thursday).
Late on Thursday morning I started to get worried as I was going to work after dinner, I phoned and was told that there had been a problem and someone would be with me shortly and that I was still the first job. After another hour, I phoned the engineer directly and he was still on a job in Birmingham, nearly an hour away from me.
In the end, time ran out and we had to arrange for a family member to come around on short notice as the best they could now offer was a Saturday appointment if I couldn't find someone on an hours notice, (a week after we lost our hot water).
To top it off the total bill came to a total of £250 for a £110 part + fitting which took about an hour.
Not happy with the service at all and would not recommend them other than the fact they know these systems very well.
