Not another Boilermate 2000 No Heating / No Hotwater Thread!
Hi there, great forum have been reading for some time and now I have my very own heating & hot water problem - so its time to post!
Currently have a Boilermate 2000 with a Baxi downstairs.
Lately, we would turn the heating thermostat on and nothing would happen for a while, then the Baxi would fire up sporadically, and then eventually the Baxi fires up solid - we hear the heating pipe or pump click in the front room under where the pumps are located, and hey presto its all good.
But, this rigmarole has gradually increased in time to sometimes 30-45 mins!
I replaced the Baxi PCB a month ago, and no improvement - and now today - nothing at all - fan heaters are currently out
I looked inside of the BM and I see 4 green LED's, but the status LED that usually says 'ON' is completely blank / not working or displaying anything.
Had a central heating guy round when I replaced the Baxi board, and he said change the full lot to a standard combi.
The wife does not want to do this, we really like the mains pressure we get from the system.
Any advice would be welcome - we would like to keep the system if possible.
Thanks!

Thanks - that's brilliant.
Is it programmable for call for heat and turn off heat using the SW1 and SW2 buttons?
Cheers.

Settings
User programming of temperatures is not an option as far as I am aware, you can view the various settings using the two switches SW1 and SW2 see page 35 of the manual to be found here: http://www.gledhill-spares.net/documents/bm2000-iss10.pdf

Thanks for that. Yeah can see its dynamic by the BM after some reading thanks.
I've got a pic of the terminations into my BM from the stat that I would like someone to check, but I cant post pics!
Doesn't look right to me!

room stat
Page 22 in the manual shows the terminations for the room stat at the bottom. The connections are for an old style mechanical stat.
