No heating or hot water since draining tank

Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help or offer some advice on a problem we have with a Boilermate FE200 and Potterton boiler. I'm in the process of having a new bathroom installed and the fitters said they had to drain the Boilermate tank to install new radiator etc. I'm not exactly sure what they did as I wasn't there at the time but now there is no hot water or heating and they don't know what is wrong! We have checked everything is switched on and the inlet is open again but the boiler just isn't firing up at all (yes this is also turned on).

Is there anything I can check myself or do I need to get a professional in?

I had no replies on this but just want to post the outcome. Basically the boiler had locked out (perhaps overheated when there was no water?) so did a bit of research and found there is a reset button hidden away on our boiler which when pressed allowed it to ignite correctly.
