Water Dripping from Systemate 2000 Empty Water Dripping from Systemate 2000

Post  adrian.mcinally Fri Apr 26, 2019 3:26 am

At the bottom of my Systemate 2000 manufactured in September 2005 there is a copper pipe marked: HEATING RETURN.
This pipe coming from the bottom of the unit has a thick black rubber washer round it. Water is dripping from this washer/pipe, about 1 drip every 30 seconds. The drip is coming from the Thermal Store and not from any other pipe connected to the heating return.

Can this be repaired?

Gledhill want to charge me a fixed price repair, that I am happy to pay. But they will not tell me over the phone if it can be repaired or not.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank You

If the unit is leaking

Can not be repaired.

New unit required.

Could try putting leak sealer in the unit.

1 bottle for every 100 litres.

It is 50 /50 if it works.

Thank you Mike for taking the time to reply.

I have read many of your messages to other queries and I hope others appreciate the time you take to deal with our problems.
