Hello all,

Just been reading the Boilermate PDF and have come across an interesting statement. Can someone explain what is meant by (the boilermate will perform at it's best when the lockshield valves are at their minimum setting). Is this similar to balancing all of the radiators?

Many thanks

Garry

Hi Garry,

Interesting statetement indeed! I have no idea why they say this.

Which page is it on? I suspect you are right and they are just referring to balancing.

Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike,

Here's the para from the booklet:

The radiators will only get hot when the
boiler is firing.

It is important that the flow rates through these
radiators is adjusted to the minimum required
at the lockshield valves on the radiators. If this
is not done the performance of the BoilerMate
will be adversely affected.

This statement was taken from page 15 (PDF from the Gledhill site)

Not sure if this is just balancing Mike....
