Economy 7 and Pulsacoil 2000

I recently had a problem with my Pulsacoil 2000, it has now been fixed but the engineer that came round to repair it told me that the lower part of the boiler was currently permanently on, when it should actually be connected to economy 7 and should only come on during the night. He said I needed to speak to my energy supplier about that as only they could arrange it.

However, when I spoke to Eon they said that this wasn't something they could sort out and I would need to get an engineer out again. They advised against getting economy 7 for my electricity supply because most of my other electricity use is during the day (my flat only uses electricity, there is no gas).

So now I'm a bit confused - can anyone advise? Is Eon wrong or is the engineer wrong?

Hi Lizzie;
You really need an electrician to have a look and put you right.
Why not contact one for a quote.
At least you will then know.
It is far to involved to sort out on this site.

Request a two rate meter and have the electrician install a timer to come on at your lower rates times.
