No hot water Empty No hot water

Post  Macca71 Thu Jul 08, 2010 5:41 am

Hi,

I have a Pulsacoil a class which has been great for the last 3 years, but has suddenly stopped producing any hot water. The green light is on, but the unit is cold to the touch. Also, the peak boost button doesn't work any more.
There is no flashing red light to indicate a fault. The tank has also been topped up to about halfway.

Any advice will be gratefully received! Thanks in advance.

Neil

Neil,

Possible causes are as follows:

- Temperature sensor or printed circuit control board is faulty.
- The water level is low in the F&E Cistern (you said you have checked this)
- Overheat stat tripped
- One or both immersion heaters have failed
- The pump is permanently stuck

I hope this helps!

Ah, sounds like I'll have to blow the dust off my credit card and call someone out!

Thanks for the reply.
