top element keeps tripping out

Hi dont know if any one can help my top element keeps tripping out and has to be reset to heat water any ideas would be great many thanks dan.
It has been working fine for the last month or so the bottom element is not working so i need to change that but i have been using it on the booster element which has been fine untill now..

It sounds like you have a build up of sediment/scale around the top element (this usually results in a bumping/sizzling noise like a kettle when you use the boost) and it may require changing, as does the bottom element by the sound of it.
