Is it worth me replacing the power relay?
Hi
Had a few problems with the old Pulsacoil 2000 recently.
For a while we had been experiencing very little hot water however were living with it. Over the weekend however a terrible burning smell (like chared plastic) started to come from the unit leaving us no option but to turn it off for fear of it catching alight!
A local plumber replaced the pump and element to the bottom heater and I am pleased to say we have hot water and no burning smell. Not as much as we would like, but its better than boiling kettles for the bath.
The flashing LED is indicates normal. However the red and green leds on the other side are not lit.
Every time we use hot water the unit buzzes for a minute or so and to my ear it seems to come from the relay box at the top.
So my question is- is it worth me replacing the power relay? Will this relight the LEDs and stop the buzzing?

Relay Issue May Be Normal
Hi,
The buzzing you hear most likely is coming from the pump speed control PCB and may be normal. This part when it becomes older starts to make that noise. I would say wait till in stops working, but if you want you can replace it. You can find the part via the link listed below:

Prices are a bit steep via that link.
Would advise shopping around.
