Sporadic hot water! Empty Sporadic hot water!

Post  StewartF Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:59 am

I moved into my flat 1 year ago and have been using the Pulsacoil 2000 without any problem. Recently the whole block was without water and since then my water has been hot for 10 seconds and then cold and then hot again etc etc.

I thought this may have been due to the external plumbing which had taken place, but having read some message boards this does seem to be an issue with the Pulsacoil 2000.

There is no LED light at all on the front of the boiler, though there hasnt been for the last year - when everything was working fine!

Any ideas/diagnosis would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi StewartF,

Probably heat sensor failure, and the external plumbing work is a coincidence.

The green LED is prone to failure. It only tells you the power is ON, and you know that anyway!

I've no idea. People's abilities vary enormously!

If you are confident you can do things like repair a dripping tap and/or replace a hard drive in your PC then you'll have no trouble changing a sensor.

Cheers, Mike

Sporadic hot water! Empty Bring in a professional

Post  sunny.sahdev Wed Sep 11, 2013 7:01 am

Stewart you would be better off bring in a professional who can establish the exact fault and test all other components. If you feel you can do it without anyone, then go for it.
