No hot water, red fault light on, after adjusting thermostats to increase water temperature
Hi,
I took off the two element caps a few days ago to adjust the thermostats and turned them up to maximum. I got up this morning and found no hot water and the red fault light on.
I can't tell if the green light is on too, as the bulb is very,very dim. But the circuit board green light isn't on (behind the metal front cover).
Do you think this is from over-heating? Or any other matter. I am happy to have a go at minor adjustments, but as it is a privately rented property if anything major is required I will call the estate agents.
Thanks for any help and/or advice.

Re: No hot water, red fault light on, after adjusting thermostat
after manually resetting and lowering the thermostat slightly, it appears to be ok. But is there any way it can be on maximum and not trip the sensor? I did hear of some sort of thermostat replacement fixing this, is this correct?
Thanks,
Joe

Call
Hi;
Call the letting agent.
You pay rent not your problem.
Just make sure all is switched on including fuses / mcb's.

Ok, brilliant, thanks. Just wanted an idea of what could be done prior to calling.
