Boilermate 2000 hot water problem
Hi,
We had problems with intermittent hot water on our Boilermate 2000 so we've been using 'the switch' which gives us hot water straight away. Plumber we had in suggested a new pump as it wasn't moving when the hot tap was opened, but I noticed that when 'the switch' is activated the pump was spinning.
Have checked the readings on the sensors and none are giving errors (Store 76, PHE 30, DHW 87). But noticed that the bottom dash next to "on" doesn't come on when the hot tap is opened, or if it does, it's only for a second and is accompanied by a buzzing noise from the ACB area.
Could this still be a sensor error or is it something else? Any help much appreciated.

Re: Boilermate 2000 hot water problem
Hi Richard,
Looks like your DHW sensor has failed if you are not receiving hot water but your DHW reading is 87 it has failed and needs replacing. You will be able to confirm this by manipulating the sensor (moving the cable around as it goes into the brass screw cap top). You will notice the reading jump around and possibly show an error reading.
Kind regards

Thanks for the reply Gary.
I think you're right on the DWH sensor as I noticed that the pipe it's attached to is cold to the touch whilst running the hot water even though it's still reading in the 80's.
Couldn't get it to jump or show an error when waggling it though. Is it still the most likely explanation for the problem?

Hi Richard,
From the reading you have given, it is likely to be the cause.
