Boilermate 2000 Heating Problem!
When our heating is on the radiators initially heat up normally then for no apparent reason they go cold even when the room thermostat shows that the heating should be on. Then after an hour or so the radiators warm again and so on. Any ideas please? My 86 year old Mother-In-Law is staying with us shortly and constant heating is a must!! Thanks.

your store thermstat maybe faulty , if the core temp is not above 60 degrees the heating pump will not run but after a while it will kick in and run the heating for a short time. is your gas boiler running on max ?
hope this helps

Thanks Mark for taling the time and trouble to reply. Forgive me for being a bit dim but when you asked "is my boiler on max?" (incidently it's a Glow worm micron) did you mean it has to be on max?
D-Day is looming and I can sense my Mother-In-Law is packing her suitcase as I type this mail to you!
Thanks again,
Mark (must have been a common name in 1963)

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your advice, tried what you suggested and our heating is perfect. It was simply the boiler not turned up sufficiently to run the boilermate system.
Kind Regards,
Mark.

Solution found???
Hi there,
Was just wondering what you did to fix this problem - I seem to have the same sort of issue in that sporadically the Store Temperature takes ages to get back to the 60 degree mark. This means that the heating won't come on and hot water is also in short supply. After a while it will get to 60 degrees and come on for a while then turn off when the store temp falls below 60 again.
Strange thing is that it will work perfectly for 2 or 3 days, then break for 1 or 2, then work perfectly etc etc...
Any advice would be gratefully received!!!
Many thanks,
David
