Pulsacoil Thermastore Empty Pulsacoil Thermastore

Post  peanut123 Thu Nov 03, 2011 1:21 pm

I have a Pulsacoil (not sure what one) and when i bought the flat the boost didnt work, had a few people try and remove the immersion and couldn't.The stat on the other heater kept tripping so we bought a new one and got it fitted in April, since then the stat has been fine and since yesterday it now keeps tripping. What is causing this?

We also have problems getting hot water, the taps and shower are of a warm water but nothing hot enough. we have got the water valve screwed right up to try and get at least warm water but its still just warm.

Please help.

Sounds like you have a faulty immersion heater.
Any good electrician can test them for you.
Is the unit hot?
If it is then the mixer valve could be faulty.
Or you need a de scale.
Look on the home page on this site for list of advertisers.
See if one in your are.
If not google up for one in your area.
Gledhill may recommend one also.
Have you the manual on your unit?
Go to Gledhill website and down load one for free.
If you are not sure which one you have, keep looking and you will / should find it.
Or post some pictures on here.

Pulsacoil Thermastore Empty Hmmmmm . . . try this with your Pulsacoil 3

Removing elements can be difficult. Heat the element up and then use a box wrench to turn it. It most likely wont turn but use a hammer and hit it lightly . . . it will then start turning. I wouldn't recommend you try this but use a plumber who knows how to remove elements.

Also check the water levels, seems that may be causing a fault. Request a self check mini guide via this link -> Pulsacoil 3 Repair
