Boilermate 2000 ACB burned out. Empty Boilermate 2000 ACB burned out.

Post  Neil Powell Sun Dec 06, 2009 10:50 am

The house mains trip to the Boilermate 2000 tripped. On investigation the ACB has burned out tracks and the ACB fuse blown. This happened 24 hours after the right hand (looking from the front) pump was replaced. The tracks where the burning started are the ones which supply power to the right hand pump. The ACB will have to be replaced. Could it be a faulty pump or is it just a coincidence? When the ACB is replaced is there any check or setup needed?

Thanks in anticpation.

when fitting a new board make sure that you have the jumpers in their correct places and add another jumper to no 5 to let the system carry out a full system check, after it has carried this out , isolate the power to the unit and then reomove jumper no5 and switch back on. usually new acb will have a couple of jumpers in place already.
DONT FORGET TO TURN POWER OFF BEFORE COMMENCING ANY ELECTRICAL WORK !!!!!!!!!!
hope this helps
