system leaking

For the past 2 weeks my pulsecoil 2000 has been leaking. We had a plumber round and he is unable to identify where the leak is coming from. It's obvious that it is internal, as all the external pipes are fine and the insulation material in soaking wet. The plumber is unable to get inside the system as it is a concealed unit. The system is 7 years old. Do these systems come with a warrenty? Are there any suggestions to get inside the system to identify the leak? We have been advised that we need a new system at a cost of £1000 including fitting.

If the leak is coming from inside the tank then i am sorry but you have no alternative other than to replace the system.

£1000.00 seems reasonable, Pulsacoil BP is one of the best on the market, but others include Heatre Sadia, Trianco, Thermaflow and The Electric Heating Company.

Is it normal to have to wait 1 month for a replacement?

No, A replacment could be fitted in two - three days of ordering.

I've been told they are built to order. My plumber seems very reasonable - fitted and bought for £1k, though the merchant can't get hold of them for a month until they are built. Do you know a way round this?

They will be able to give you an availability so you can purchase it through a local merchant. 2-3 days is the norm.
