Reuest for Hot Water takes numerous attempts to kick in???
Hi,
Any help on diagnosing this fault would be appreciated.
I have a Boliermate 2000 with a Potterton Suprima bolier. We are having problems in getting the central heating up and running in the morning. It seems that the BolierMate makes a request for hot water (Boiler LED goes Orange) - nothing happens. This can happen maybe 20 times before eventually the boiler will light and then boil. It may stop after maybe 10 secords or so. Then it will kick in and stay on and operate normally for the rest of the day. It seems that it takes alot of hard work to get going. I am failrly confident that the bolier itself is working fine. Running the hot water does seem to make the bolier kick in ok.
I have the room thermostat set so a request should be made.
The bolier temperature is set to MAX.
Fiddling with the manual clock on the bolier mate (ie switching it on and off may have a positive effect after alot of messing about but this may be a red herring).
Any ideas???
Thanks,
Martin

Sorry, the bolier LED flashes Green and Orange when the request for water is made.
At this moment in time everything is now working now it has eventually kicked in.
