Buzzing on Water Pump

Hi,

My water pump buzzes all the time and only stops buzzing if you turn the hot water on, then it will stop buzzing until the system starts charging up again - where the buzzing starts yet again. When I was turning the hot water on, it used to stop completely but now it won't stop completely and there is a faint buzz. The system is working fine otherwise. Anyone know what this problem is and is this using unnecessary power?

HI,

Usually the buzzing you discribe is from a relay not the pump. It is not using anymore power than it would if it was not buzzing, it is early signs of a breakdown and will eventually need replacing.
