Pulsacoil III hot water not lasting long
Hi Mike,
I was wondering if you could shed some light into my problem with my Pulsacoil III. It seems the hot water not no longer lasts throughout the day. This only started a few days ago. The water level light is now off but the overheat lights remain switched on. We do fortunately get hot water in the mornings and that the bolts on both heating elements do feel hot in the mornings. However we no longer get any hot water by the afternoon. I've checked the water level in the expansion tank and its fill right up to the mark. Even pressing the boost button to get extra hot water doesn't seem to help. Can you please advice? Many thanks in advance.

Re: Pulsacoil III hot water not lasting long
if you have a multimeter and know how to use it, turn off power and test the bottom element you should get 18ohms across the live and neutral, if not then element is at fault, have you tested the fuse in the fuse spur to the off peak element? 18ohms is just about right it can be a few ohms either way. hope that helps
Also check the thermostat has not tripped out.
I would recommend you also check the thermostat rod has not tripped out. You may also have missed a basic check, I would recommend you request a Self Check Pulsacoil Mini Guide via this link - Pulsacoil Repair Hopefully this helps you. If you don't understand the guide fully, simply call us on 0800 046 1241.
