Pulsacoil - Hotwater from shower only under low pressure?
Hi All,
I have a recent issue with my pulsacoil.
Water from taps is hot and consistent all the time.
The shower used to be the same, but now it starts hot and then turns cold in under a minute (taps still hot).
I discovered that keeping the pressure low, roughly midway between off and full the hot water remains hot throughout. As soon as I turn it up it goes cold! (It will go warm again if i turn off and back on using low pressure only).
Any thoughts?
Also, I am based in Harrow HA1, any recommended engineers in this area?
N.B. I only ever use the top immersion heater which is hooked up to a timer. As I am the only one in the flat this used to work fine. I don't use an economy 7 tariff so tend to just heat up for about an hour in the morning and this is enough for a shower in the morning and some hot water in the evening.
Any help appreciated!

If you run the shower and it goes cold.
And then you try all the hot taps and they are fine.
Faulty shower cartridge.
Feel the shower when this happens.
And if the body of the shower is hot on the left hand side.
Faulty shower!

I'm not sure this is correct - I have 2 showers and both exhibit the same issue.
Could this be pump related? i.e. it stalls or something under high pressure so no hot water?
(This is a total guess, im no plumber!)

Re: Pulsacoil - Hotwater from shower only under low pressure?
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the help so far.
Right I have experimented further.
Ran taps after shower turned cold - they are cold too!
Well I say cold, basically everything turns luke warm, def not warm enough to shower in.
The pressure thing still applies however, using the shower or taps with low pressure they produce hot water. Turn them up and within a few seconds they turn luke warm.
