How to reset Pulsacoil 2000
Hi all,
I'm having a problem with our Pulsacoil 2000 heater, no hot water is coming out. The same thing happened last week, I rang our letting agents, they sent a guy when I was out at work and he told them all he did was reset it.
It happened again this morning so I've rang again to see if somebody can give it a good service and replace any parts but I've been told that I'll be in for a wait.
Being an absolute idiot with this sort of thing (....and being scared of the bright red warning sticker saying 'don't take the panel off') I was hoping somebody could tell be how to safely reset it so I can have some hot water until an engineer can come out.
This is what I can see..

Many thanks.

Re: How to reset Pulsacoil 2000
Hi,
The old reset has been removed and linked out. ok.
Now you may have rod stat in the bottom heater with a safety reset.
This can be pushed in to reset, but be careful.
Google up rod stat with safety built in and check what to do.
Why is it over heating?
Can be the rod stat.
Can be a build up of sludge etc inside the unit.
Or some older unit had a relay, if so this could be jammed.
If it is the rod stat and it is NOT sealed then try turning it down just a fraction.

Your reset buttons are small black buttons underneath the two black plastic lids at the bottom end of the boiler. You should be able to take the nuts off without a spanner then use something small to push the black reset button(may be under a sticker).
If they click they needed resetting
Hope This helps future people searching for the reset buttons

Make sure you turn the electric off first!!
If you are not qualified or do not know much about electrics! Turn the unit off when doing a reset!!! Those conductors near the thermostat rod are live!
