PulsaCoil 2000 Immersion Heater fault - reset switch.
Hello,
I have a Pulsacoil 2000 water heater, with a off peak Immersion heater problem. I have taken the external round cover off and found the reset button tripped the other night. I got lovely hot water the following morning. This morning, the water was cold again. The switch has tripped again.
The upper - on peak heater works fine during on peak.
Does anyone have any suggestions about why the switch would keep tripping?

Re: PulsaCoil 2000 Immersion Heater fault - reset switch.
Have you checked for any leaks on the lower immersion heater?, some leaking out of the rod stat pocket and short the electric on the stat. Otherwise sounds like a new rod stat ( immersion heater thermostat ) needed.
Hope this helps

Reply to Mario - Thermorod tripping
Mario,
Thanks for the reply. There aren't any leaks, so I've gone ahead and ordered an new rod. They are cheap enough to take a gamble.
Thanks to Mario and all on the Forum fopr posting such information. I have been able to find tips and ideas and to be honest, I wouldn't have know about the trip switch if someone else hadn't posted a similar comment.
I am moving out my flat flat in 5 weeks - just exchanged contracts - so the boiler problem couldn't have come at a worse time. Hopefully this will fix the issue, as the solicitors, etc have swallowed up a lot my money.
Hope there is a similar forum for my gas combi boiler at the house I'm buying.
David.

Make sure it is the correct thermostat rod
Hi David,
Make sure the rod you purchased is a XB081 rod, any other rod with a lower temperature will not allow the system to work correctly.
You can order them via this link: Gledhill Pulsacoil 2000 Spares
