water not heating
Last night my boilermate started to flash a red light, the diagose said overheat safety trip, I have an ideal boiler downstairs in my kitchen, the light remains flashing and its not heating my water. I have someone coming out tomorrow but my policy apparantly doesnt cover the boilermate , only the idea boiler, any ideas what my problem could be? also I have had my water on timed, for roughly 6 hours a day instead of constant as I felt my upstairs was getting too hot with this, now Im wondering if this has any bearing on my over heat tripping, thanks

Re: water not heating
Hi Jane,
Are you sure you have a Boilermate 2000? There IS no flashing overheat warning light on the Boilermate 2000.
Cheers, Mike

Re: water not heating
Thank you mike, sorry im wrong and its a a class ov not the 200 you were right.
anyway my husband pressed the reset button and the water came back on heating, have you any ideas on this, its funny as it was so warm in our house on the 2 previous days and I seem to have warm floors upstairs in my bedroom where the pipes must go . We have policy on our boiler but apparantly it doesnt cover the boilermate. It says to have the hot water on constant but ive been putting it on timed and that seemed to make the house a bit cooler but im now wondering it this has anything to do with it overheating, any help would be great thanks jane
