Hot water when shouldnt have?
Hi Mike,
I've just moved into a flat that has a pulsacoil 3. I've had the unit switched completely off over the weekend as Ive been away. Monday morning I turned it on and when I came back from work at around 6, turned on the hot tap and had piping hot water! Is my understanding of these boilers wrong or are they only suppose to heat the water during the night rate? I have had my suspicions that its been coming on when it shouldn’t as I can sometimes here it boiling away during the evenings!
Do you think the unit has not been wired up to he off peak supply? Or could the timer be on the blink? I could do without the expense of heating the tank 24/7 as I always leave it on.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Dan

Re: Hot water when shouldnt have?
Hi Dan,
I think it is more likely that the unit just stayed hot over the weekend - it is very well insulated!
Cheers, Mike
