Space heating pump and PCB, boiler mate 2000
I recently fitted a reconditioned PCB however the DHW and Space Heating pumps were still not being switched on., despite the LEDs being lit. To solve this I rewired the space heating pump to the Room thermostat signal which works well. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this fix and whether this might affect the pump in the future. Btw the output for the DHW pump signal seems to vary, when I measured it was just 130v. Why should the Space heating pump be originally fed from the PCB?
Any comments on this appreciated.

The answer might be in the book.
Heating will NOT work if the unit temperature drops below 60c.
Hot water has priority
Under normal running you would not notice this.
But now the running will be different.
Pump will be ok though.
DHW pump goes from 130 to 240 volt.
That is how the DHW temperature is maintained at 50 to 55 c
And why the DHW pump MUST ALWAYS BE the XB004 as that is designed to do the above.
Any normal 15/50 pump will not.

Thanks for your reply Mike, that's cleared up the situation with the pump, every thing has been running very nicely since October, think I will leave it be, fingers crossed it keeps working.

It will work fine
I had to bypass my CH pump as well due to one of the board ic's burning out. It works fine, with the exception of when the boiler fails to ignite every now and then, which falls the system into thinking the boiler is running, so runs the boiler pump, the CH pump if there is demand from the stat, then as there is no cut off from the board continues to run the CH pump even though the store is depleted of hot water, so we end up with no heating or hot water, until the boiler is reset. One day Ill get round to replacing the failed ic (solid state relay).
