BM A-Class SP - 2 questions
Hi all,
Stumbled across this forum while searching for information on the BM SP, hopefully someone will be able to help.
I've bought a house that was previously part-ex'd and as a consequence we have none of the paperwork for the appliances / heating system etc. The setup we have is a Gledhill GB20 Boiler - BM A-Class SP - Thermostat on Ground Floor which manages Ground and First Floor heating and a Thermostat on second floor to handle second floor heating.
From reading the info on the stickers on the BM am I right in thinking that I should program the BM to turn on Channel 1 (Hot Water) during the day to use the solar contribution for hot water and not program anything on channel 2 (heating) and let the thermostat programs handle this?
The second question I have is in regards to smart heating systems, can I install with this setup? I'm thinking that, as long as they are compatible with the boiler / zone setup I should be able to have smart heating and just leave the BM to handle hot water (if I've setup correctly per my musing above).
Any input / advice and guidance gratefully received

Oh re smart thermostats yes you should be able to use any compatible system so something with 2 zones. The Salus IT500 can have a second sensor fitted to control zone 2 on the rt500.
